Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Kitchen 56 invites you to slow down and savor thoughtfully crafted dishes in a cozy, inviting space.

Starters like the Southwest Chicken Eggrolls and crispy Brussels sprouts showcase a clever blend of textures and bold flavors, setting the stage for an enjoyable meal. Their salads, including a vibrant roasted beet salad and a bistro salad with cranberries and bleu cheese, deliver a fresh, well-rounded contrast to the heartier dishes.

This attention to detail extends to the buffalo chicken wrap, which carries a flavorful punch while maintaining that satisfying home-cooked feel.

Beyond the mains, Kitchen 56 excels in desserts. Their signature chocolate decadence—a rich, layered mousse atop a brownie base—offers a decadent finale that many diners, including repeat visitors, swear by. The white chocolate crème brûlée and three-layer carrot cake also add depth and refinement to the dessert menu, catering to varied tastes without overwhelming the palate.

The experience at Kitchen 56 is enhanced by attentive and genuine service. Guests frequently note the friendly staff and the personalized touch that makes each visit memorable. The ambiance strikes a balance between casual comfort and a subtle sophistication, making it suitable for families, couples, and small groups seeking an intimate meal without pretense.

Chef Doug, the creative force behind the kitchen, further enriches this dining destination with his engaging culinary presence, shared via his YouTube channel, offering food enthusiasts a behind-the-scenes look at his craft. This connection between kitchen and community adds an inviting, human element to the overall experience.

In summary, Kitchen 56 is not just a place to eat; it’s a culinary hub that captures the essence of New England hospitality through its thoughtful menus and inviting atmosphere. Whether you come for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, this restaurant promises a satisfying, heartfelt dining experience that celebrates both the craft of cooking and the joy of gathering around the table.

We found this little hidden gem while on our way back home and it was as good as all the fantastic reviews claimed! I got the Parm sandwich which was huge. The chicken was so tender and perfectly cooked with a nice crisp on the outside. The bun, cheese and sauce were also top notch! My wife got the buffalo chicken wrap and that was also amazing! This place has such a nice cozy feel to it and the service couldn't have been better! We hope to go again when we are back in that area.

I was AMAZED about how good the food was. I went there with 5 other people and we all liked what we got and wanted to come back another day to try different things. My wife and I did go back for desert another night and that was really good as well. The chocolate layer desert thing is a "split between two people" desert. Very rich and delicious. Definitely worth a try.

No matter where Doug is or what he's doing, the food is always great. Kitchen 56 is super cute, good atmosphere, and welcoming as you come in. I highly recommend getting the chocolate decadence (a Doug specialty)... Even if you don't eat it there, get it to go for later. You won't regret it. Such a great place with an awesome vibe. I have lived right down the road for over a year and just went last night for the first time and will definently go back. The southwest eggs rolls were amazing. My husband loved his burger, and I had the falafel gyro and it was exceptional, and on top of that some of the best French fries I've ever had. They reminded me of fries from the fair, also garlic aioli for dipping I highly suggest. Amazing prices also, for our food a beer and a soda we walked away paying $34 (not including tip) which was less then we would have paid elsewhere and much better quality food. Also, the waitress was so friendly, and frequently asking us how we were doing and if we needed anything else, she earned a more then 20% tip easily. I highly recommend this resteraunt, if your from town, or just passing through. I promise you will enjoy it.

This place was amazing. One of those locations hidden off the main road. Probably one of the best restaurant experiences in my life. The BBQ hamburger was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection and my wife had the steak gyro. The steak was so tender and the sandwich was delicious. The music was just loud enough but not too loud that let us talk without yelling at each other. The service could not have been any better. Thank you and we will be back. Told friends on Facebook as well.
